What CAN alcohol cost you?

Wow!  So you work and work and work for YEARS to be one of the top swimmers in the WORLD!  And then you throw it all away from a night of indiscretion and partying.

Shaking my head.  I know there are incredible pressures to be the greatest, and I get the idea that folks just want to blow off some steam after the completion of the competition.  Sure, Rio, is known as a “party” city. But REALLY?  Have some self control!  All  Lochte had to was NOT DRINK at the party.  Alcohol (and his consumption of it) was directly responsible for the fiasco that has occurred in Rio.

Instead of the world remembering how great the Olympics were in 2016.  They will remember the irresponsible behavior of an American.  Sad.

By the way, I reject the notion that the officials are trying to “downplay” this incident after the fact and saying that “kids will be kids and hopefully this will be a learning experience for them”.

Really?  This “kid” is 32 years old.  He’s NOT a kid!
